Properties of materials, solids, liquids and gases; forms of energy, simple electric circuits, magnetism, forces and simple machines

Rocks and minerals, soil, water cycle; day and night; the Sun as an energy source; sun-Earth-moon system and shadows

Needs of plants and animals, life cycles, growth, how animals move; habitats and food chains
