Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island's curriculum is set by the Department of Education and Early Years and described each year in Programs of Study for elementary (K-6), intermediate (7-9) and senior high (10-12); many subjects follow shared Atlantic Canada frameworks, and mathematics follows Western and Northern Canadian Protocol guides revised in 2023. Senior high is organized into credit courses with codes such as MAT421A. Graduation requires 20 credits, including 11 compulsory credits (English, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education and career education) and at least 5 Grade 12 credits.
